Thank you in advance for who you are, what you do and being someone who just gets it. Dr. Mike Thomson, Dr. Dan Ross and the National Civility Association team would be honored to have you join them in their mission to help young people, schools, businesses, communities and families all across this country of ours.
We are incredibly passionate about what we do here at the National Civility Association (a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization) and the impact we are making in schools, businesses, communities & homes.
One of the unique things is we bring together Mayors, City Council, County Trustees and Chamber of Commerce members, Ministerial, Library, Parks & Rec members, Business, Industry & Community leaders, First Responder and Military leaders along with Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions and Optimist community service groups to collaborate and work side-by-side with core groups of High School student leaders, their school & district administrative team members, board members, counselors, teachers, transportation, custodial, food service staff and sports & co-curricular leaders in an effort to Resurrect Civility, Leadership & Character One School, One Business, One Community and One Home at a time — Pretty awesome, right?
We know others have put on what many think are flash in the pan "Civility, Character or Leadership events" that where the information shared fades before people even get to the parking lot. Nothing compares to our formula for success. Our proven process succeeds because we go way beyond one-and-done events. Yes, "Dr. Mike" who you will learn about, is our most sought after facilitators for the day, but Dr. Mike is NOT the show, he is just part of the show, as are our other Civility Summit facilitators.
We guide each one of the student & adult leaders you see listed above to "be the show." We train them to become an integral part of a unique working civility team that takes control and becomes laser focused on creating lasting culture change and transformation back in their own schools, businesses, communities and homes. After all, they know best what is and is not going to work back in their own communities. All of this magic not only happens because of our unique high-impact, life-changing live event, but it kicks off their ongoing FindTheKind challenges and contests that each civility team designs and makes their own so that it centrifugally expands and impacts everyone within their own schools, businesses, communities and homes. What we are doing is making a huge difference.
Another thing that makes us very unique, is that we never leave our audience member’s life. Within an hour after each event, they are engaged with us. We know that our constant social media sharing of great ideas & tips is what keep parents, students, school administrators, coaches, teachers, counselors, business owners, supervisors, employees and community leaders not only engaged with us, but looking at us as their one-stop-shop that they keep coming back to for more and more empowerment resources.
We truly believe that your search is over when it comes to best practices and the best-of-the-best innovative approaches to what we need more of in this country right now. We know our framework is solid because it was built from the ground up working side-by-side with our founding partners at the Ohio School Board Association, Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators, Ohio Superintendents Association, SimpliCollege, as well as invaluable input and guidance from our Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, City Council, Community leaders, State Athletic Associations, parents and students — We never stop listening so we can get better and better.
That is why we can't wait for YOU to be a part of something special that we create together. Take your time as you wrap your head around all of the information below. We’re hoping that something you read, watch or listen to will set off a spark in you that ignites an idea or suggestion that could help us get even better and make more of an impact in this country of ours.
Below you will find everything you need to know about the National Civility Association, our Civility Summits, our FindTheKind Challenges. It’s all right here on this page for you. We encourage you to spend time here learning how we are impacting lives.
Take your time, take notes and get ready to help us in making this a better world and create something special together.

A HUGE part of the National Civility Association and our Civility Summits are our "FindTheKind" Challenges. We challenge each group and each individual to go out and "FindTheKind" within themselves and others. Our purpose behind everything that we are doing with this mission is "To positively impact mental health through acts of kindness." What our world needs most right now is KINDNESS. We want to be the biggest proponent of that here at the NCA!

Here's where we need your help in thinking outside the box – We are laser focused on raising money to offset the costs for more Civility Summits around the country. We believe that there are potential sponsors, donors or foundations out there who are trying to make a difference in this country by reaching Schools — Businesses — Communities and Families.
Guess what? That's exactly who we work with and are in front of all year long! Our attendees come ready to learn about sponsors donors and their organization and how their products or services might help them succeed in life. Think about it — Sponsors, donors or foundations receive unobstructed opportunity to connect with our audience before, during and long after our high-impact, life-changing kick-off Civility Summit. We align with the people who sponsors, donors and organizations want to be in front of. From print, web, exhibit, clothing, swag, presentation, and stage branding benefits, we will show how we can create more advertising, exposure, value and long term buzz for sponsors, donors and organizations that is more effective than they could ever create on their own.
Get your wheels turning on how you might help us by checking out the details on how we do that here: https://nationalcivilityassociation.org/how-you-can-help
